Marvel Rivals Characters Teased and Leaked for Seasons 7 and 8

Marvel Rivals keeps players guessing about which heroes will join the roster next. The game's developers have been dropping hints throughout the game's lore, map details, and recent trailers. Here's everything we know about the characters that could be coming to Marvel Rivals in the near future.

Forge: The Mutant Inventor

Forge appears to be one of the closest characters to joining Marvel Rivals. This gifted mutant has a super intellect that lets him understand and create almost any kind of machinery or technology.

The game has mentioned Forge multiple times in its lore. During Season 2, he helped upgrade Cerebro on Krakoa. More recently, in the Season 5.5 update, Emma Frost's new team-up story takes place in Forge's Machinesmith workshop on Krakoa. In this story, Forge tests Luna Snow's Dark Ice on Emma Frost, which leads to her new abilities.

Wolverine's second lore story also mentions Forge's workshop. Logan visits a secluded cave that turns out to be Forge's secret armory, where he hopes to build an EMP against the Ultron army.

Game leaks suggest Forge will join as a strategist character. He might use his tech skills to boost teammate damage or create healing turrets that automatically help allies. The developers already tested auto turrets in Marvel Zombies mode, which could be practice for Forge's abilities.

Black Cat: The Wanted Thief

Felicia Hardy, better known as Black Cat, has one of the most obvious teases in the game right now. On the Times Square map, several billboards show wanted posters for her. The NYPD Major Crimes Unit is offering a $250,000 reward for her capture.

Her list of crimes includes grand larceny, burglary, theft of high-value tech and art, obstruction of justice, assault on officers, evading arrest, and property damage. The posters even show her silhouette, giving players a hint at what she might look like in the game.

In Marvel Rivals lore, Wilson Fisk (the Kingpin) controls New York as the mayor. He gained this position after supposedly saving the city from Dracula in Season 1. The game could easily tie Black Cat into the story by having her steal something valuable from Kingpin, maybe even a page from the Darkhold that he's trying to auction off.

Black Cat would fit perfectly as a duelist character. She could attack enemies with her sharp claws and use a grappling hook to move around maps quickly. A team-up with Spider-Man seems almost guaranteed.

White Fox: The Nine-Tailed Hero

Ami Han, known as White Fox, is a Kumiho who can transform into a nine-tailed fox. This transformation gives her enhanced speed, agility, and strength. She's a member of the Agents of Atlas, the same team that includes Luna Snow and Iron Fist, who are already in Marvel Rivals.

The game includes several hints about White Fox. Luna Snow has an accessory called the White Fox plush. The description explains how Luna thinks about her Atlas friends, especially Ami. It mentions that Ami's cool exterior hides a warm heart.

Iron Fist and Luna Snow also have an in-game interaction where they discuss a potential Agents of Atlas reunion. This strongly suggests another Atlas member will join the game soon.

White Fox and Black Cat could release together in the same season. The pairing of a Black Cat and a White Fox would create an interesting dynamic, similar to how Season 4 featured the Devil versus the Angel theme. Since White Fox was part of the Tiger Division, South Korea's government-backed super team, Kingpin might hire her to catch Black Cat and recover whatever she stole.

Kitty Pryde (Shadowcat): The Phasing Mutant

Kitty Pryde has been one of the most requested characters since Marvel Rivals launched. She's one of the X-Men's smartest operatives, with the ability to phase through solid matter and disable enemies instantly.

Three main teases point to her eventual arrival. First, Star-Lord and Phoenix have an in-game interaction where Star-Lord asks about Kitty Pryde. Second, Magic received a Kitty Pryde plush accessory in Season 5. When equipped, the plush phases through Magic's sword, which is a clever reference to Kitty's powers.

The third tease comes from the recent Deadpool reveal trailer. In the background CCTV screens showing the Collector's Museum, one exhibit contains a sleeping dragon. This dragon might be Lockheed, Kitty Pryde's loyal companion. Lockheed is small but dangerous. He can fly, breathe fire, understand human speech, and fiercely protects Kitty.

During the trailer, Deadpool frees many captives from the museum. If Lockheed is one of them, this could set up Kitty Pryde's introduction to the game. Most players believe it's not a question of if Kitty joins the game, but when.

Ant-Man: Testing the Size-Changing Mechanic

Ant-Man himself doesn't have direct teases in Marvel Rivals yet. However, Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne are heavily featured in the game. They appear in the lore and have their own stores on the Times Square map.

Starting December 18th, Hank Pym's Test Kitchen will host an event featuring a new mystery burger. Players who eat this burger on the Times Square map will likely either grow or shrink in size.

This event appears to be a test run for Ant-Man's eventual abilities. By letting players experience size-changing in the non-combat Times Square area, the developers can see how the mechanic works and how players react to giant or miniature character models. This is almost certainly setting up Ant-Man's future release.

Devil Dinosaur and Moon Girl

Devil Dinosaur played a major role in the Deadpool trailer. This fiery red T-Rex has incredible strength, durability, and human-level intelligence. After Deadpool freed him from his exhibit in the Collector's Museum, he caused massive destruction.

The big question is whether Devil Dinosaur will pair with Moon Girl. In recent comics, Devil Dinosaur partners with Lunella Lafayette, also known as Moon Girl. She's one of the smartest minds in Marvel history and can swap consciousness with Devil Dinosaur.

This ability could create a unique character in Marvel Rivals. Players might control the dinosaur while Moon Girl's consciousness directs it. Or the character could work like Cloak and Dagger, letting players swap between two forms. Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur already appear in Marvel Mystic Mayhem, another NetEase Marvel game, which increases the chances of them joining Marvel Rivals.

Quick Mentions from the Deadpool Trailer

The Deadpool trailer's CCTV screens showed several other characters that might join the game:

Cosmo the Space Dog could become as beloved as Jeff the Land Shark. This character uses powerful telepathy and telekinesis to help teammates in combat.

Howard the Duck is a cynical, sharp-tongued outsider with no powers, just instincts and the ability to survive impossible situations. He might appear as an NPC on the new Collector's Museum map in Season 6, which could lead to him becoming playable later.

Dragon Man is an artificial dragon created through science and sorcery. His cameo is probably just a cool easter egg rather than a sign he'll become playable.

Wendigo results from an ancient curse that transforms cannibals into a massive, fur-covered beast with fangs, razor claws, and a huge tail. Like Dragon Man, this is likely just a fun cameo.

What's Next for Marvel Rivals?

Marvel Rivals continues building its roster with careful attention to lore and player favorites. Forge and Black Cat seem closest to release, with White Fox and Kitty Pryde not far behind. Ant-Man's size-changing mechanics are being tested, and Devil Dinosaur could arrive with Moon Girl for a unique duo character.

The game's developers are clearly planning several seasons ahead, dropping hints that keep players excited about what's coming next. Whether it's mutants, street-level heroes, or cosmic characters, Marvel Rivals has plenty of options to keep the game fresh and exciting.
