Alchemax Headquarters: Marvel Rivals Doom Match Map

The setup you need to know

Alchemax Headquarters is a Doom Match map set in the Nueva York of 2099, inside the tower of the corporation that runs the future. Doom Match is a free-for-all: there are no teams, everyone is your enemy, and only final hits add to your score. Assists count for nothing, so the player who lands the last blow takes the point even if someone else did most of the damage.

The map is built as a ring of connected zones joined by doors, which means a fight in one room is rarely private for long. Gunfire and ability noise pull other players in, and the person who arrives third often walks away with two eliminations. Learn the loop between the zones early, because knowing where the next door leads is what lets you escape a bad fight or cut off someone who is running.

Since Season 10.5 the map also appears in the 18 vs 18 Annihilation playlist, where the same rooms fill up with two teams of eighteen.

The central lab

The heart of the map is an enclosed building on two floors, with Cyclops held in a containment tube. It is tight, dark and full of corners, so close-range heroes do their best work here. Each floor has a health pack, which makes the lab a good place to reset between fights if you can get in and out quickly. Don't linger in the doorways: that is where players coming from the garden and the office meet.

The Vice President's Office

This aquarium-themed area also has two floors. The lower floor is a small room with a health pack, and a jump boost carries you through a gap in the ceiling to the upper floor, where Moon Girl is waiting. The upper floor is a strong hiding spot when you are low, because few players check it, but the jump in is predictable, so anyone camping the hole has the first shot.

The garden

The outdoor garden is the most open part of the map. Glass tubes give you pieces of cover, and floating platforms let you take height over anyone fighting below. Long-range heroes should base themselves here and pick off players crossing between buildings. One health pack sits in the garden and another is tucked into a small building under the sky bridge.

The musical fountain

At random points in a match the fountain switches on, music plays and sound waves spread around the outer edge. A rhythm bar appears on screen, and timing your jumps to the beat is the way to unlock one of the map's achievements. Treat it as a distraction for everyone else: players busy hitting the beat are easy final hits.

How to win a Doom Match here

Pick fights next to a health pack so you can recover before the next player arrives. Finish low-health targets before you start on a fresh one, since only the last hit pays. When two players are already fighting, wait a moment and clean up the winner. If you are a sharpshooter on low health and a diver such as Captain America or Daredevil finds you in the office, leave instead of trading.

Hero picks

Brawlers like Wolverine, Magik, The Thing, Hulk and Thor control the lab and the office. Long-range heroes such as Hawkeye, The Punisher, Black Widow and Elsa Bloodstone own the garden and the platforms above it.
