Shenloong Arena: Marvel Rivals 18 vs 18 Bounty Annihilation Map

The setup you need to know

Shenloong Arena is set in K'un-Lun during the final of the Tournament of the Heavenly Cities, where the Immortal Weapons fight for the title of Immortal Iron Fist. It is the map for 18 vs 18 Bounty Annihilation, an Arcade mode with eighteen players on each side and no hero limits, so a team can run as many copies of a hero as it likes. A version with AI teammates fills each side with six players and twelve bots.

Both teams start on opposite ends of the map and are released at the same moment. Every final hit is worth one point to your team, and every self-elimination gives a point to the enemy. The first team to 300 points wins.

The Mission Areas

Kills are only part of the score. Three Mission Areas, A, B and C, take turns being active, always in order from one end of the map to the other. An active area holds 100 points. A team captures it by having at least one player inside with no enemy contesting, and once captured it keeps feeding points to that team even while the enemy fights for it. When an area is drained, the next one opens.

Point A is Shou-Lao's Heart, with the great dragon hovering just outside the arena. Point B is K'un-Lun's Library, which has a lower level that is easy to forget during a scramble. Point C is the Training Ground. Each time the fight moves, you choose one of three spawn points for that part of the map, so pick the one that puts you closest to the active area or behind the enemy.

Reading the map

The arena is built from temple terraces on several levels with wide open spaces between them, and the map has drifting fog and rising wind currents. With thirty-six players, there is never a single front line: several fights happen at once around the active area. Raised firing spots and narrow entrances reward teams that hold angles instead of charging in one by one.

How to win

Points from the Mission Area add up faster than most teams expect, so always keep bodies on the active point, even during a losing team fight. Rush the next area as soon as the current one empties, because the first team inside starts scoring first. Avoid falls and self-eliminations; with this many players, gifting points is an easy way to lose a close game.

Hero picks

Heroes that scale with crowds are at their best here: area damage, big heals, barriers and crowd control all hit more targets than usual. Jeff the Land Shark, Storm, Iron Man, The Punisher, Spider-Man and Cyclops are popular picks. Vanguards should hold the entrances and edges of the active area, Duelists should take the high ground, and Strategists should stay behind cover.
