Rogue is a highly versatile Melee Vanguard who acts as an extremely disruptive frontline brawler, fighting by closing the gap to engage in close-quarters combat and constantly stealing power. She specializes in adaptability, crowd control, and ultimate disruption, dictating the flow of battle with her signature Ability Absorption that temporarily swaps her own skills for those of an opponent, and grants her a necessary stat boost. Her ultimate, Heartbreaker, creates a large field that aggressively drains enemy Ultimate Ability Energy, severely limiting their offensive potential. Rogue is defined by her ability to counter the enemy composition, making her a high-skill, strategic pick who relies on good positioning and smart choices, but making her vulnerable to heroes she cannot easily close the distance on.

Gambit shares kinetic energy with Magneto and Rogue. When Magneto activates this ability, Iron Volley is replaced with Ace Greatsword, which detonates upon striking enemies. The explosion leaves residual kinetic energy within the target, inflicting secondary damage after a brief delay. When Rogue activates the ability, each of her attacks causes a kinetic explosion that damages nearby enemies and heals nearby allies.

  • Master Strategic Absorption (Who to Hit): The single most important aspect of playing Rogue is deciding who to use your Ability Absorption on. Don't just absorb the closest target; always prioritize who gives you the best utility for the current situation.
  • Initiate with Mobility, Not Absorption: Use Rogue's Aerial Assault (her forward dash/lunge) or her basic dash to close the distance and engage enemies, but save your Ability Absorption.
  • Use Your Ultimate to Neutralize Threats: Rogue's ultimate, Heartbreaker, is a defensive tool that completely shuts down enemy momentum. Don't use it just for damage.
