How to Play White Fox in Marvel Rivals: 5 Key Tips

  • Don't play her like a backline healer: This is the mindset shift that unlocks her. She is not your standard Strategist who sticks to the backline and pads healing. She's the only hybrid melee and ranged Strategist in the game, and she excels at evading enemy dives and flanks with her teleport and dashes. Treat her as a support who actively fights for space rather than one who hides behind the tank. If you play her passively, you're leaving most of her kit on the table.
  • Abuse the bounce on your healing orbs: Her primary fire is very forgiving and rewards smart angles. The Yeowoo Guseul projectiles are quite chunky, so you simply need to fire them toward your allies without worrying much about missing, and the projectiles bounce off surfaces and automatically turn in an ally's direction. The orbs bounce once off surfaces and heal the nearest allies or damage the nearest enemies after the bounce, which lets her heal and deal damage simultaneously, similar to Invisible Woman. That bounce mechanic gives her unique playmaking around corners, so use walls to reach allies you don't have a direct line to.
  • Time your teleport, don't spam it: The instant teleport to an ally is her signature tool, and it's wasted if you use it on cooldown. It instantly teleports her to allies from afar and grants a brief barrier that blocks projectiles, which can save teammates from death, rescue diving allies, protect flanked backliners, and even deny enemy ultimates if timed right. The key is knowing when to use it, for example when Magneto is about to ult or Scarlet Witch is about to attempt a team wipe, and prioritizing teammates who are sticking together rather than spamming it. Hold it for the moment that actually matters.
  • Build and maintain your Awakened fox form: This is the core of her moment-to-moment gameplay. Maintaining a fully powered Awakened form is by far the most important aspect of her normal gameplay. Building the Spirit Tail energy powers all her strongest skills, including applying Charm to enemies and providing crucial healing or invulnerability to allies. In Awakened fox form she goes on the offense, bursts down targets with quick combos and crowd control, and it doubles as an excellent anti-dive tool that lets her counterattack and even the playing field. Learn the energy economy so you're rarely caught without it.
  • Use your ultimate to engage, not to turtle: Her ult breaks the usual Strategist mold, so play it accordingly. Kumiho Unleashed transforms her into a nine-tailed fox and immediately boosts her health to 900, making her highly durable for a short time. Allies in the circle around you gain life steal, and the ally you right-click gets invulnerability plus healing over time, while you move around and attack with left click. You can't receive healing from allies during this state, but you have lifesteal on your attacks. Since it's not a stationary healing circle like most Strategist ults, use it to engage and help your team push through a difficult fight. One warning: she can be stunned during the ult, so respect enemy crowd control and don't charge into a team holding their CC.
